All Verbal Reasoning (VR) Notes

The GRE Verbal Reasoning section evaluates your English proficiency through a mix of reading comprehension and vocabulary-in-context analytics. Unlike exams that separate these elements, the GRE balances structural interpretation with advanced vocabulary across 20 questions per graded section.

The exam content is divided into approximately 50% Reading Comprehension (RC) and 50% Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence (TC/SE). The section features a total of 20 questions based on Reading Comprehension passages, Text Completion (filling blanks with vocabulary), and Sentence Equivalence (selecting matching synonyms).
